The female-fronted band from Spain Las Migas got their start in 2004 and had immediate success, playing festivals throughout Europe. Their success has only grown since then. Their 2016 album, Vente Conmigo, was nominated as the best Flamenco album at the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards. Their latest album, Rumberas, is their most luminous, joyful and daring work. It shows the heartbreaking side of love and life and is a tribute to women’s strength, nature and freedom. The songs feature new styles such as country, American pop and urban music, based on the Flamenco and Spanish music that have always characterized Las Migas and conferred their unmistakable uniqueness.
“The all-female group Las Migas have done something inside Spanish music: reinvigorating flamenco and reworking traditional songs.” – Songlines Magazine
